Flexispot adjustable standing desk on sale for $ 160 off

If you spend most of your day sitting in front of a computer, your doctor probably has a few words for you. Medical experts warn that all kinds of problems can arise from sitting all day, including the risk of type 2 diabetes; heart disease; back, neck and shoulder pain and more. This is why so many people have adopted standing desks in recent years. Even so, you don’t have to spend all day on your feet (and this isn’t a very healthy strategy, either). Instead, an adjustable sit / stand desk could be exactly what the doctor ordered (literally and metaphorically). That way it’s up to you to decide when you sit and stand.

Looking for a strong, reliable and affordable adjustable standing desk? i used the Comhar all-in-one standing desk of Flexispot for months, and it definitely delivers. Flexispot is currently offering it for as little as $ 340 (selling prices vary depending on whether you want the top made of glass, wood, or bamboo). Read on for my take on the desktop and all the details.

Let’s be honest: there are a million adjustable standing desks, and they tend to share a lot of commonalities, like a crank or motor that can raise and lower the desk to any height you want, as well – in the case of electric models – one or more memory positions to go to the right position with one touch.

The Comhar All-in-One Standing Desk is made from this general mold, but whatever it does, it does it right.

My desk arrives flat packed and assembled quickly, with only a few major pieces needing to be bolted together. The desk measures 48 x 24 inches, which is a comfortable space for a home office, and sits on two sturdy legs with a crossbar at the bottom for extra support. It is designed to support up to 110 pounds on the desk. To the right of the storage drawer, you’ll find a digital display, desktop controls (up / down buttons, four memory presets, and a lock button), and three USB charging ports.

The screen shows the current height of the desk and you can use the arrows to select the perfect sitting and standing height for your needs. You can store up to four positions in the numbered memory keys. And to prevent you from accidentally pressing a button and sending the desktop up or down when you don’t want it to move, there’s a one-click lock button as well. Want to charge your mobile equipment while you work? No problem, there you will also find two USB-A ports and one USB-C port.

The desk has a total reach of 28.3 inches to 47.6 inches. Personally, I keep it at the lowest level for sitting (which I did from preset # 1) and 40 inches for standing (my preset # 2). The motor is pretty quiet (Flexispot says it’s less than 50dB, and the sound of the office going up or down seems barely louder than a whisper to me).

He also has a few little touches. If you accidentally hit the wrong preset and it starts heading in the wrong direction, for example, you can override that just by pressing a different button – no need to wait for it to finish moving before. press another button. And there is a handy anti-collision feature: if you lower the workspace and it hits something you put under the desk, it will stop moving rather than crush what you put on it. or damage the engine.

There are three versions of the Comhar desk, differentiated only by the finish of the desk. You can get the Comhar All-in-One Standing Desk Glass Top version for $ 390 (down from list price of $ 500) – this is the model I tested.

Also available: the Comhar All-in-One Standing Desk Wood Top (currently $ 340, compared to $ 500) and the Comhar All-in-One Standing Desk with Textured Bamboo Top ($ 360, versus $ 500). I have a bit of a conflict over the choice of the surface; I like the look of the mirror-like smooth glass surface in my desk, but the wood or bamboo top seems to be more practical for many tasks. My computer mouse, for example, does not work on the glass top without a mouse pad.

No matter which one you get, they all come with the same set of features, look great, and are on sale for the month of October. Need a standing desk? It is a great and affordable option.
